Pivio: A Virtual Lifestyle Education Program

Microsoft Teams

Pivio focuses on whole-person health and is based on the combination of four fundamental components: lifestyle, exercise, attitude, and nutrition. The program puts an emphasis on how individuals live, move, think and eat in regards to creating and maintaining a healthier way of life.

This virtual class—offered in a group environment with dynamic group discussions and peer support—is open only to benefits-eligible employees and their covered spouses on the Purdue medical plan. See class details and schedule below.

Class size is limited to 20 participants. Please register by Wednesday, January 17 at noon.

Participants must attend the onboarding workshop on Wednesday, February 7 before the Pivio program begins on Monday, February 19.

Lifestyle Education Programs

Lifestyle Education programs focus on creating lifelong habits to improve and maintain your health and well-being. These workshops about heart health, tobacco cessation, diabetes, and more are offered to benefits-eligible employees and their covered spouses on the Purdue medical plan as part of the Healthy Boiler Program. Learn more about our lifestyle education workshops.

  • Onboarding: Wednesday, February 7.
  • The first class begins on February 19.
  • Weeks 1–6: Mondays and Wednesdays (February 19–March 27).
  • Weeks 7–12: Mondays only (April 1–May 6).

Participants have lab work done to check their numbers before starting the program and will review lab work taken at the end of the program to see the changes. As you work on the six targeted areas of your action plan, you begin to shift away from habits that undermine your health toward those that create positive change.

Visit the Employee Well-being web site for more details about the program including the six targeted areas and other Lifestyle Education Programs.

There are two ways for benefits-eligible employees and their covered spouses on the Purdue Medical Plan to register.
