FOCUS ON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Alcohol Awareness in April

April's Healthy Boiler Pillar of Wellness focuses on behavioral health and the theme of alcohol awareness. The Healthy Boiler Workshop: Sip Smart—Navigating Alcohol Awareness seeks to bring more awareness about the impact alcohol has on both your physical and mental health. A registered dietician and registered nurse will discuss how the body metabolizes alcohol, how to recognize addiction problems, and what drinking in moderation means.

If you would like to join this month's challenge, which is to not drink alcohol in April, the presenters will offer tips to avoid alcohol such as drinking non-alcoholic beverages or "mocktails" especially when going out.
