Anthropology Club Lunchtime Lecture Series Presents: Dr. Fumi Arakawa - Archaeology in the Gila Forks Region of the American Southwest

Dr. Arakawa will be joining us through Zoom to talk about ongoing archaeological research at two sites – Twin Pines Village and South Diamond Creek Pueblo (SDCP) in the Gila Forks region in Gila National Forest and Wilderness. He will discuss findings on how populations that lived in the forested region o the Gila River headwaters interacted with those in the semi-desert of Mimbres-Mogollon region.
Dr. Fumi Arakawa is an Associate Director of Research at Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (IUMAA).
