Austin M. Rausch is a Assistant Professor of Costume Design at Purdue University Fort Wayne. He holds his Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward's University (Austin, Texas) in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Theatre Design. He also holds his Master of Fine Arts from The Pennsylvania State University in Theatre Arts Design, concentrating in Costume Design. He has designed costumes for many productions around the country. After getting his MFA, Austin lived in Los Angeles for a short stint before the COVID-19 pandemic ensued. In LA, Austin worked as a Costume Crafts Artisan for the Los Angeles Opera on a world premiere production of Eurydice, a co-production between the Los Angeles Opera and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He also worked as a Conservatory Teacher at California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley. While there, he taught drawing & rendering, stage makeup, and others. He also designed costumes for various stage and immersive productions.
