Lasting Partnerships, Programs, and Resources

WellRec is proud to serve the Fort Wayne and regional community that we call home.

Community well-being is an extension of our wellness programs designed to educate, motivate, and support members of our community outside the campus. Members of the Fort Wayne community are welcome and encouraged to participate in programs such as blood health screenings, well-being summits, and blood drive events.

WellRec also partners with local businesses and other organizations such as Fort4Fitness and Fort Wayne Corporate 5K to provide more opportunities to improve the health and well-being of our community. As an added bonus, we get to support these local organizations.

We also offer numerous resources available to the community that relate to the health, safety, and well-being of those visiting our campus. These include the FRIENDS of the University Pantry, which helps food-insecure members of the community; the Campus Health Clinic, operated by Lutheran Health Physicians; the Allen County Purdue Extension office; and the University Police.
