 Notice: Investigators at IPFW may not be receiving important notifications from the IRB about their research  protocols if they have not had their email address forwarded to their ipfw email addresses.

Abraham Schwab, Associate Professor of Philosophy, is available to help human subjects researchers at IPFW as they prepare IRB applications for submission and respond to recommendations from Purdue. Please contact Dr. Schwab at to meet by appointment.

Additionally, the following faculty members serve on the Purdue Social Sciences IRB and are available for consultation regarding the development of new protocols or the revision of proposed protocols in response to IRB recommendations. To meet by appointment, please contact:

Training and Certification

CITI Online Training Course

CITI (Collaborative IRB Training Initiative):  Required training in order to be certified as eligible to engage in human subjects research at Purdue University. All researchers on an IRB protocol must complete the CITI training before the IRB protocol will be approved. Initial and continuing education (every 5 years) in human subject protections are required.
