New Student Orientation (NSO)

We're gearing up to welcome our newly admitted spring-semester students! Spring New Student Orientation will take place Friday, January 4th, 2019.

You'll attend Spring New Student Orientation after meeting with your advisor and after picking out your spring semester courses. Spring NSO takes place the Friday before the start of the spring semester, for full details- please refer to your email.

What should I do now?

    Check your personal email (the email you used in your application to Purdue Fort Wayne) for your next steps!

    Do I need to do anything before meeting with my academic advisor?
    • You need to make sure your goPFW account is active. Please be sure to have your username and password handy as you will need this to register for classes.
    • You will need to have taken your placement tests prior to attending. 
      • Your Writing Guided Self-Placement Test is taken online. I can be found by logging into your goPFW account and clicking on the "Enrollment" tab.
      • Schedule your Math Placement Test, this is taken on campus. To schedule, call: (260) 481-6600.
        • If you are anticipating Dual or AP credit for math, you may not need to take the placement test. Contact Testing Services to determine requirements).
      • If your major requires a foreign language, schedule your Foreign Language Placement Test. To schedule, call: (260) 481-6600.

    Please note that incoming students will be able to register for classes after November 5th.
