Performance Management

Performance Management Becoming Automated

On January 1, 2012, Purdue University established that each benefited staff member would receive a written performance evaluation annually.  Complete policy details can be accessed through the following link:  Policy:  Performance Evaluations for Staff (VI.F.7).

The Performance Management process will completely transition to an automated process as part of the Human Capital Management - SuccessFactors systems launch in January 2019.   Supervisors/managers should begin to use the newly created 2017-2018 Staff Evaluation Form until the new system launches in January.  Several important factors supervisors and managers should be aware of are:

  • Performance Management in Success Factors will automatically populate four competencies on which all employees are required to be evaluated.  Those competencies are Job Performance, Culture and Values, Professional/Career Development, and Supervision (if applicable).
  • Optional evaluation performance competencies that will be available to supervisor include Communications, Continuous Improvement/Change Management, Customer Service/Service Orientation, Decision Making/Problem Solving, and Teamwork.
