Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a program that provides voluntary, confidential, and professional assistance to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or performance at work. Services include problem evaluation and assessment, individual counseling, and referral to community services.

The EAP is available through:

Bowen Center

EAP hours are 24 hours a day/7 days a week

On Campus Sessions

Please call the above Bowen Center number to schedule an on campus session.  The customer service representative will inform you of the location of your session during your call.

Program Provisions

EAP counselors are available to support benefit-eligible IPFW employees and their family members with issues such as:

  • Stress or anxiety
  • Marital difficulties
  • Workplace conflict
  • Alcohol or drug concerns
  • Loss of spouse or loved one
  • Financial or legal problems
  • Relationship problems

Benefits eligible employees and their legal dependents receive 3 free sessions per issue through face to face counseling with a local counselor.  If you require assistance beyond what the EAP provides, you may be able to continue with the same counselor or they will assist you in selecting another counselor using your health plan benefits.  Additional sessions will be subject to the applicable medical coinsurance/copay.
