Purdue Fort Wayne BAS Program Part 1 Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Carl Drummond, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management at Purdue University Fort Wayne. We're building relationships with community colleges throughout the Midwest, and Michigan, and Ohio, here in Indiana as well, to help connect students to a 4-year opportunity. The BAS program is unique in several ways. One is that it is specifically designed to articulate with an Associate's of Applied Science degree that community colleges offer. This creates a seamless transition for students to complete their Bachelor's degree in this program.
Another thing that's unique about our offering is that it's entirely available online. And so students who are outside of the Fort Wayne region can complete this degree very successfully online. Because the degree program is offered in an online way, many of those classes are asynchronous. And so students can take those classes. They can work on those classes in the evening and on weekends outside of their normal work hours. Additionally, they can move at their own pace and complete as many classes as they need to in each semester.
