Personal Training

Healthy personal fitness can improve personal energy, strength, and endurance abilities. Nationally certified personal trainers are on hand daily to assist you with your fitness goals.

Members may receive a free orientation and “Getting Started” fitness session with a personal trainer by calling 260-481-6647 or 260-481-6655.

Personal Training Fees

Personal training sessions are one-on-one and last one hour.

  • 1 session: $30
  • 3 session package: $85
  • 12 session package: $320

Meet the Trainers:

Kate Black

Kate is certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and an Aquatic P.T. through Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). She has experience training clients ranging from 13 to 65 and has taught aquatics for over 12 years. Kate’s chief aim is to assist participants in increasing their strength, flexibility, and functionality in their world, working with each to determine the best path toward reaching their personal goals. A graduate of IPFW, she is excited to be back on this beautiful campus in an entirely new role.

Jim Thurber

Jim is a graduate of Manchester College with a degree in Physical Education and Health Management. He has a Health/Fitness Instructor certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. Over the last 15 years, Jim has worked with athletes, attorneys, body builders, senior citizens, and teachers.
