Group Ex Class Descriptions

Group Ex Classes have been cancelled until further notice, effective immediately. 

Group Ex Classes

Classes are FREE for all currently enrolled students attending classes on campus and Fitness Center members. All classes meet at the Fitness Studio unless specified. Classes are on a first come, first serve basis. Class size is based upon class activity and space. Sign in required at the start of each class.

CrossFit*

Our CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements. Considering life’s core movements, CrossFit develops fitness, strength, and skill through constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.. Emphasis is on building strength, increasing mobility and flexibility, and learning proper safety techniques while working out with Officer Dave Herbst, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Each day is different and all fitness levels are welcome. *Meets in Weight Room, Gates Sports Center. See class schedule.

20-15-20-NEW

This class is a total body workout with 20 minutes of easy to follow. Cardio moves, 15 minutes of toning /strength and 10 full minutes of abs and core work. 

Class meets every Monday until May 4. Class meets in Room 114 (Racquetball Court) in the Gates Sports Center on January 27, February 24, March 30, April 13. No class on January 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) and March 9 (Spring Break).

Yoga

Finding balance, strength and purpose in this mat based class gives you a wonderful feeling and sense of success. Connecting mind and body this yoga class is for all fitness levels.

Class meets every Monday until May 4. Class meets in Room 114 (Racquetball Court) in the Gates Sports Center on January 27, February 24, March 30, April 13. No class on January 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) and March 9 (Spring Break).

Turbo Kick

Take the challenge to kick, punch and move yourself fit. This cardio class enhances reps and intervals along with high energy fun and great music to burn fat.

Class meets every Tuesday until May 5. No class on March 10 (Spring Break).

Pilates

This core mat based class uses the body's own weight as resistance as well as added moves to build strength and long lean muscles. Added exercises with low reps creates a head to tone metabolic boost.

Zumba - NEW

This Latin based dance program takes music from all over the world and creating nothing but fun easy to follow shake it off moves.

Class meets every Wednesday until May 6. No class on March 11 (Spring Break).

Body Fusion - NEW

Do not forget the importance of building and maintaining muscle.This class takes a variety of resistance equipment and guides your body towards muscle and strength development.

Aqua Fitness*

Let the pool party begin. Turnstone has the most beautiful warm water infinity edge pool with great locker rooms and a guard on duty for our entire class. Learn how water resistance can help build strength, burn calories and protect the joints all while turn up the tunes and dancing away. No need to swim or even like the water. It will become one of your favorites!!

*Please bring your student or employee ID to class which meets at Turnstone, 3320 North Clinton.
