Co-Op Visit

The mission of the IPFW Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program is to offer high-quality, academically-enhancing paid employment opportunities to bachelor’s degree students. We strive to prepare them intellectually, technically, culturally, ethically, professionally, and socially for the demands and opportunities of an increasingly changing world.

Be the premier undergraduate academic Cooperative Education Program in northern Indiana known for:

  • The outstanding quality of academic preparation of IPFW co-op students.
  • The academically related and challenging content of student work assignments.
  • Active faculty involvement.
  • Prompt service to students, employers, and faculty.
  • Being a respected partner in the community.
  • Strict adherence to EEO/Affirmative Action guidelines.

Code of Professional Conduct

  • Promote affirmative action through individual and organizational efforts.
  • Encourage the personal and professional development of IPFW students.
  • Provide challenges that help individuals reach their potential.
  • Maintain the integrity of the educational process as the primary focus of Cooperative Education.
  • Provide individual guidance to Cooperative Education students.
  • Recognize that the employing organization assumes the primary role as educator while supervising students.
