Phyllis Lee, the director of education and youth services at the Fort Wayne Urban League, where she began as a college intern, is a youth advocate and community servant dedicated to youth leadership, service learning, diversity, civil rights, and educational equity. She is a supporter and champion of students, especially those from underrepresented populations.

Originally from Muncie, Indiana—she graduated from Burris Laboratory High School—Lee relocated to Fort Wayne 18 years ago to be closer to her parents. She received her bachelor’s degree with distinction from IPFW and is currently enrolled in the 2020 Master of Social

Work cohort at Indiana University. Lee is a member of the National Organization for Human Services Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and the Fort Wayne Commission for the Social Status of African American Males.
