IPFW Records Fall: n Allendale, Mich., IPFW's Emma Rafuse broke her own school record in the 5K, and Olivia Coleman tied her school record in the long jump at the Al Owens Classic. Rafuse ran a 16:46.97 to win the 5K and break her own school record. Coleman tied her long jump school record at 5.53 meters and finished second.

IUPUI (12-25) made the trip to Fort Wayne (16-26) and were met with a 16-2 loss in five innings. The Jags could not get the bats going, mustering only three hits in the defeat.

Five Local Men Named to Midwest Volleyball Hall of Fame

Five Fort Wayne-area men have been named among the second class for the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association’s Hall of Fame. Former IPFW coach Arnie Ball, IPFW and Olympic player Lloy Ball, former Ball State player and Snider High School coach Tom Beerman, Angola-native Mick Haley and News-Sentinel sports writer Blake Sebring will be inducted May 12 in St. Louis during the league’s annual coaches meeting.
