Virginia Pine
Description
Needles in bundles of 2’s, or sometimes 3’s, up to 3 inches long. Cones have sharp prickles. In Indiana, it grows only in the south, but does very well in reforesting abandoned and cutover land. It often grows in pure stands, and does best without competing vegetation.
