Eastern Redcedar

Description

Eastern Redcedar has a wide natural distribution, and grows well under various and extreme climatic conditions but prefers a sunny location. As young trees, they are pyramidal. The foliage becomes bronzy in winter on male trees and silver blue on female. Bark is shredded. Fruits are eaten by many wildlife species. Wood is very fragrant and used to make cedar-lined chests and boxes.
