Q. Will my email address change? (Updated 3/30/18)
A. Faculty, staff, and retiree email accounts have been updated to include an address.  This address is what you should start using as your official email address.

Q. Will my username change?
A. No usernames will be changed. One exception is for shared mailboxes where “ipfw” is part of the mailbox name.

Q. How long will my old "ipfw" email address work?
A. IPFW addresses will continue to work through June 30, 2019.  After July 1, 2019, senders will receive a generic "undeliverable" message which will not contain any forwarding information.

Q. Why can't we keep forwarding to beyond June 30, 2019?
A. Educause controls domain name registrations for all educational institutions, and has imposed the end date for our use of

Q. Will I still have access through my phone?
A. Yes, but you will need to update your phone to reflect the new email address.

Q. Will guests who have email and retirees keep their accounts? (Updated 1/3/18)
A. Yes, everyone who currently has an email account is entitled to keep it.  Everyone will be affected by the to domain name change.

Q. Are shared mailboxes affected?
A. Yes, email addresses for shared mailboxes will change along with everyone else’s.

Q. Will any of my existing email, calendar appointments, contacts or documents be affected?
A. There is no impact to existing email, calendar appointments, etc.

Q. Will there be any impact to email quotas?
A. No, there will be no change to quotas.

Q. Will this change affect student employees?
A. A very small number of student employees will be affected. Those with student employee accounts will be contacted to become early adopters in Office 365/Outlook. The student employee account will be merged with the student account.

Q. How will IPFW listservs be affected? (Updated 6/18/2018)
A. All listservs have been transitioned.
