Getting Your Official ID
Your Mastodon card is your official identification for the Purdue Fort Wayne campus. If you belong to one of the following groups, you’re eligible to get your Mastodon card:
- Students
- Faculty
- Staff
- Retirees
- Athletics Center–membership holders
- Community members who wish to use Helmke Library’s services
To get your card, visit the Campus Credentials and Transportation office on the first floor of Walb Union from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
You can use your card for the following campus services:
- Using your membership at the Gates Fitness Center
- Using Helmke Library services
- Claiming your meal swipes when you're part of a meal plan
- Paying for food and convenience items on campus with Don Dollars
- Getting discounts in Fort Wayne for being a Purdue Fort Wayne student or employee
Required Documents
Before you start to apply for a Mastodon card, you must know your Purdue Fort Wayne ID number and present one official document, such as the following:
- Driver’s license
- State-issued ID Card
- Learner’s permit
- Passport
- US military ID card
Your high school ID card can also be used, but it must have your picture on it. You must also provide your birth certificate or Social Security card. If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged within four years, you’ll have to pay a $20 replacement fee—exceptions might be made if your card is defective.
