Healthy Boiler Theme for March
Nutrition: Back to the Basics
If you are like many of us, the amount of time and your financial resources may determine the type of food you eat on a daily basis. Reflect on what you eat and drink every day. Does it provide your body with nutrients to fuel your body or mainly supply your body with additional sugar, salt, fat, or cholesterol?
Perhaps we can simplify our diet by understanding our basic nutritional needs for our bodies. We can make choices in the grocery store, and at the table, which reflect those needs by increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables we eat as well as planning nutrient-rich meals.
Employee Well-being is offering various workshops and events in March which reflect our theme and the challenge of the month—Nutrition: Back to the Basics and Make One Meatless Meal a Week, respectively. Visit our web site for more events in March.
