To qualify for both the BSEE and BSCmpE degrees fromPurdue University Fort Wayne, the following minimum requirements must be met.

Freshman Year Requirements (31 credit hours)

  • CHM 11500, MA 16500, MA 16600, PHYS 15200, ENGR 12700, ENGR 12800, COM 11400, ENGL 13100

ECE Requirements (84 credit hours)

Core Courses for Both EE and CmpE Curriculum (29 credit hours)
  • ECE 20100, ECE 20200, ECE 20700,ECE20800, ECE 25500, ECE 27000, ECE 30100, ECE 30200, ECE 36200, CS 22900
Core Courses for EE Curriculum (20 credit hours)
  • ECE 31100, ECE 32400, ECE 31300, ECE 33300, ECE 42800, ECE 43600,ECE 46000
Core Courses for CmpE Curriculum (17 credit hours)
  • ECE 35800, ECE 36800, ECE 43700, ECE 46500, ECE 48500
Senior Design (6 credit hours)
  • ECE 40500 and ECE 40600
ECE Electives (12 credit hours)
  • Minimum of 3 credit hours must come from ECE 47400, ECE 47800, ECE 48300. Minimum of 3 credit hours must come from ECE 54700, ECE56700, CS 36000, CS 32100, CS 36400 and CS 38400. The rest of the credits must come from the list of approved technical electives for the electrical engineering and computer engineering programs

GPA Requirements

A graduation index of 2.0 or better is required to fulfill the BSEE and BSCmpE degree requirements. In addition, a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 is required for all ENGR and ECE courses.
