Electrical and Computer Engineering

5 Year BS/M.S.E Combined Degree Program

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers a five-year program through which students can obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or in Computer Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E) degree with the area of specialization in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

The B.S. and M.S.E degrees offered through this program are identical to the individual B.S. and M.S.E degrees offered by the ECE department. The combined five-year degree program provides students with the opportunity to obtain these degrees in less time than would be required when pursuing them independently.

Students accepted into this dual-degree 5-yr BS/M.S.E. program with concentration areas in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering can use 12 credits, in the combined BS/M.S.E plan of study.  These courses can be up to 3 credits of 400 level ECE courses in excess of their B.S Requirements, and any 500 level or higher graduate ECE/SE graduate courses with a grade of B- or above.
