Recent Student Accomplishments

  • Civil Engineering Students Karl Wangensten-Oeye and Seth Schmenk have been selected to receive the Annual American Society of Civil Engineers Indiana Section Outstanding Student Award at their Annual Meeting to be held on April 27, 2017 in Carmel, Indiana. The nomination and selection was based on their scholastic achievements in civil engineering subjects, ambition and enthusiasm in civil engineering, employment experience, senior standing, ASCE student membership, and participation in the ASCE Student Chapter. From a total of six awards being conferred to the students from all Civil Engineering Programs across Indiana, Purdue University-Fort Wayne CE program will be receiving two. Both Karl and Seth will receive a framed certificate and a check award of $100 at the meeting luncheon.
