For acceptance into the music program and scholarship consideration. High School sophomores and juniors are welcome to audition for comments only. Earlier auditions increase opportunities for scholarship awards.

The School of Music awards degrees in music, as well as minors in music and Jazz studies. Unique degree offerings, superb ensembles, and a spirit of excitement combine to provide an excellent environment for musical and professional growth. Private instruction in all instruments, including voice, is provided by artist faculty. Small classes foster a friendly environment with opportunities for considerable interaction between faculty and students throughout the curriculum. This personal attention is also true of academic and career advising.

PURDUE FORT WAYNE ALUMNI AND FRIENDS CHOIR

Aug. 13–15, 2021

The School of Music is thrilled to offer a new summer opportunity for choral alumni and friends. This three-day choral retreat, PFW Alumni and Friends Summer Chorus, will take place August 13-15 in the Rhinehart Music Center on the PFW campus, culminating in a concert for family and friends. Under the direction of Dr. William Sauerland, this free event is aimed at bringing together choral singers and alumni for a few days of singing and socializing. All music will be provided by the School of Music. For music teachers, professional growth points are available.
