Scholarships are one means of providing financial aid to students concerned about how to finance their education. They are awarded based on merit and/or financial need. Academic requirements vary and some scholarships require application forms and deadlines by which you must apply.
There are numerous resources in the financial aid office that provide detailed information on the available aid programs, application processes, eligibility requirements, and student responsibilities. The financial aid office also provides an overview of scholarship and grants available to Purdue Fort Wayne students. Contact the financial aid office by email or phone (260-481-4159) for further assistance.
Contact your major's department for more scholarship information as well. You can find a list of all A&S departments on the drop-down menu on the home page.

Students from all departments should also consider submitting research proposals to the Annual Student Research and Creative Endeavor Symposium. Learn more here.
Few students on campus seem aware of the marvelous possibilities for study abroad that their university affiliation presents them. Indiana University and Purdue University together offer over 400 overseas study programs. Some of these require language study and language prerequisites; others are entirely in English. So whether you are a polyglot or not, you should be able to find a program suited to your major and personal interests.
Would you like to soak up the Bohemian atmosphere of Montmartre while sitting at a café on a summer evening? Or how about hiking the Alps in the fall amidst brilliant foliage and snow-capped peaks? Perhaps visiting the pyramids and Sphinx in Egypt is your long-cherished dream, or maybe it’s seeing the Incan ruins of Peru. Maybe you would like to witness the modern-day transformation of China firsthand, or perhaps take a jeep ride through the Australian outback. These kinds of opportunities and many others await PFW students who dare to take advantage of them.
For more information, visit the PurdueFW study abroad website.
