Research interests

The goal of my research program is to understand the cognitive and neural
mechanisms that contribute to successful language comprehension. My specific
research focuses on the effects of aging and acquired brain injury on word- and
sentence-level comprehension. Findings of my research are intended to improve
assessment and treatment of individuals with acquired language disorders such
as aphasia, and to identify strategies that protect against cognitive decline in older adults.
