Mathematical Assistance Learning Lab

Free Face-to-Face Tutoring 

  • The Math & Science Tutoring Center in Kettler G19
    For pre-calculus math classes, STAT 12500, and MA 14000.
    • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday – Thursday.  
    • 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday.
  • The MALL (Math Assistance Learning Lab) in Kettler G38
    For help with calculus and higher math classes and statistics.
    • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Thursday.  
    • 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday.
  • Both of the above provide walk-in tutoring
  • Both are staffed with student tutors and with faculty who are spending their office hours there.
  • Both may also be used for small study groups, or as a place for doing math homework. Computers are available for online homework, or you may bring your own laptop/tablet.  Tutors and faculty can assist you with MyMathLab or Mobius.

  • The online MALL contains instructional videos for MA 15300, MA 16500, and STAT 12500.  These are accessed by going to the Department of Mathematics website, clicking on the MALL tab, then the instructional videos tab.  You will need to enter your PFW username and password to view the videos.

  1. Piazza is an online discussion board where you can asynchronously post questions and/or answers to interact with students, teachers and tutors across all sections of the course..
