John  C. Niser

Dr. John C. Niser

Dr. Niser's professional strength lies in the leadership of hotel management and connection with present-day industry efforts.  His area of particular interest lies in the vast space of "Hotel Electronic Distribution and Technology".  He has co-authored the first textbook on this subject, and is a regular contributor at international industry events and conferences.  In addition, John is currently working on a book designed to help independent property owners leverage current technology.

His background includes fourteen years managing major hotel operations in Europe and North Africa.  He earned his doctoral degree in young adult development, a field within which he introduced the concept of Craft Based Learning;  a form of learning-by-doing which leads to leadership and managerial learning outcomes.

Following this, John led as CEO of both Glion Institute of Higher Education and the Swiss Hotel Association Management School Les Roches, two internationally recognized schools.  He is currently department chair in Fort Wayne, and President of Hotel Schools of Distinction, a global network of leading institutions dedicated to serving industry needs.
