Undergraduate Programs

The Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs degree program begins with a core of courses in public affairs and general education. The curriculum is based on a strong general education foundation of communication and writing, mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Introductory courses in the four instructional areas of criminal justice, the environment, health services, and public affairs are included, as well as classes in public sector management, finance, and budgeting. Students then choose a concentration from the following:

Department of Public Policy majors who excel academically will be invited to join Pi Alpha Alpha, the global honor society for public affairs and administration.  Inductees will be recognized at the department’s annual spring recognition event.  Learn more about this honor at
