"As a general education teacher, I was looking for classes to increase my knowledge in working with students with learning exceptionalities. I enjoyed the professors and classes  so much that I decided to work towards my special education license. I truly appreciate the small class size which lends itself to discussion based classes. The professors are knowledgeable, insightful and approachable. The special education classes are equipping me to meet the needs of the various learners I see every day."

"This University has provided me a convenient and affordable education in the Master's Degree I'm seeking - Special Education.  I have benefitted greatly from the small class sizes and from the provided 'hands-on" materials from our professors that help us out in our field!  Thank you so much!"

"... I originally started out only pursing my [undergraduate] degree in elementary education, I started to realize that more students in the average classroom may have some kind of special need and thought it was very important for me to learn more... So I added a few classes to get my special education endorsement and am glad I did because it will make me a more marketable person when I graduate ... I would highly recommend it [the program] to other students who are planning on pursing education here."

"I am currently employed in a local middle school as a resource teacher, but I had been looking for a way to extend my teaching repertoire and knowledge of students with exceptionalities. After looking into several schools around Indiana I decided to attend this university. I chose it [the university] because it gave me the opportunity to attain my license in Mild Intervention while working towards my Masters in Special Education. ..."

"... I first enrolled in an online program at another college, but quickly missed working with peers and having face-to-face contact. It was also difficult to get feedback, so I transferred to the Masters in Special Education program at Purdue University Fort Wayne a year later. Through the University, I was able to add Intense Interventions to my license through a program here and IUSB and will be graduating in the Fall of 2013 with a Masters in Special Education. ..."
