Welcome to Purdue Fort Wayne’s Department of Economics and Finance. The Department of Economics and Finance is unique in that it services the needs of students who are fulfilling the requirements for an economics, finance, or money and banking major through the B. S. degree offered through the Doermer School of Business as well as those fulfilling the requirements for an economics major in the B. A. degree offered through the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to the degree programs in economics and finance, the department offers certificate programs in bank management and financial economics to assist in meeting the needs of students in a wide variety of majors with an interest in learning about the economy and financial decision-making.

PFW’s Department of Economics and Finance has an experienced group of faculty members who hold earned doctorates from top quality universities located throughout the United States. The faculty are accomplished researchers who are very dedicated and effective in imparting their knowledge of economics and finance to all of our students.  They teach courses at all levels and their areas of expertise cover a wide range of economic topics. Our faculty believes that economics and finance are some of the most exciting, contemporary, and relevant disciplines hosted at not only PFW but anywhere throughout the world.

The Economics and Finance faculty look forward to helping make their disciplines "come alive" for our students and to equip them to be successful in both their personal and professional lives.
