Two Ceremonies, One Big Day
Mark your calendars for June 18. We’re thrilled to be celebrating our graduates in the most traditional way possible (with masks and social distancing in place). Our Mastodons will finally get the opportunity to cross the stage and capture their hard-earned degree.
To adhere to social-distancing guidelines, there will be two ceremonies at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The first ceremony will be at noon for graduating students from the Richard T. Doermer School of Business; the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science; Indiana University Fort Wayne Health Sciences; the College of Professional Studies; and the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Doors open to the public at 11:15 a.m. on the morning of the ceremony.
The second ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. for all master’s programs and the College of Arts and Sciences. Doors open to the public at 6:15 p.m.
In keeping with best practices and safety protocols, we ask that you meet up with family and friends outside, and not congregate in the rotunda.
If you are unable to attend, you can still take part in all the excitement because we will be livestreaming both ceremonies.
Tickets are required for attendance, including graduates and children. Tickets are limited to four general admission seats per graduate, plus a ticket for themselves. As a reminder, general admission seating means there are no reserved seats. If a guest needs seating assistance, please ask a nearby usher.
Location and Parking
Commencement will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, located at 4000 Parnell Avenue in Fort Wayne. Parking is free this year, thanks to the Student Government Association. Find more parking information here.
Portrait photography will be available for graduates in the rotunda. A professional photographer will photograph each graduate receiving their diploma cover. The stage area will be restricted to university photographers during the distribution of diploma covers.
