Spring Break Mission Trip to Goteborg, Sweden - March, 2005

Below are some of the images and memories from our wonderful trip to Goteborg, Sweden during March of 2005.  This was our second mission trip with Randy Dodd, career missionary with Global Mission Fellowship and Christian novelist.  (Check out his book Wisdom Hunter under the pseudonym Randall Arthur--it is a powerful attack on Christian legalism.  You won't be able to put it down.)  We took a large team of 20 plus to Sweden and spent the week with friends in a local church in Goteborg.  We led church meetings each evening, sharing faith testimonies and special teachings.  Campus Minister Ben Gates shared on the principles of youth ministry and Dr. Jeff Nowak discussed the philosophies of creationism and evolution at a few of these church meetings.  Below you will see team member and Campus Ministry student leader Dara Aldrich playing her clarinet during a worship service.  Another photo shows team members leading youth meetings in a local school.  We engaged in some manual labor as well, as you can see below, helping to do some repairs in the homes of elderly church members.  Dag Linwik, one of our friends from Sweden, stands near a beautiful harbor with team member Ed Messal and two friends of Randy Dodd who joined us on this adventure.  You can also see Campus Minster Ben Gates preaching during a Sunday morning service--one of the church pastors is translating for him.  Other members of our team sang during that service as you can see below.  Finally, check out the team picture below and you will see the excitement everyone shared in being in Sweden for this trip of a lifetime.  We have many dear friends in Goteborg and we hope to see them again some day in their beautiful country.  We thank the Lord for the opportunity to visit them.
