The 21st Century Scholars’ Success Program  is an initiative designed to support, retain, and graduate 21st Century Scholars on the campus of Purdue University Fort Wayne.

The program focuses on four areas:

 1. Academic Performance and Persistence
 2. Career Exploration and Preparation
 3. Financial Literacy and Debt Management
 4. Student Engagement and Enrichment

Academic Monitoring & Guidance
The 21st Century Scholars’ Success Program provides  ongoing support and guidance to promote Scholars’ academic success through twice- monthly meetings with 21st Century Scholars’ Support Specialist to discuss progress.  The Support Specialist recommends study skills, and/or connects Scholars with on-campus resources such as CASA and the Writing Center.

Student Success Workshops
The 21st Century Scholars’ Success Program hosts and connects student to workshops which focus on the four key areas of the program: Financial Literacy/ Debt-Management, Career Exploration and Preparation including Job-Shadowing and Internships, Community and Campus Involvement through volunteer service, and Academic Performance and Persistence.

The Scholars' Support Specialist works with students on a one-on-one basis, as well as in groups, to provide guidance and support while they transition to college life.

The program is hosted by the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and funded by Learnmore Indiana, Indiana Campus Compact and the Indiana Youth Institute.
